How to Vote — King's Town, District 11
Kingston votes on Monday, October 26, 2026. There are three ways to cast a ballot, and one of them opens twelve days early.
Vote online — opens October 14
Online voting opens at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 and closes at 8 p.m. on Monday, October 26, 2026. It is open the whole time in between, including overnight.
You will need the voter ID number printed on your Voter Card, which arrives by mail before the election.
Vote early in person — October 16 and 17
Advance voting runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17, 2026.

Every district has one election day voting location, except Countryside, which has two. Residents of long-term care homes and retirement homes have voting places in their own buildings on voting day; only residents of those homes vote there.
Kingston Transit and Kingston Access Bus are free from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on advance voting days and on voting day. Every advance and election day location has accessible voting equipment — a touch screen, a keypad with Braille and printed labels, and an audio option.

Starting September 1, 2026, you can also update your information by contacting the City's Election Office.
If you are a student living away from home for school, you are considered a non-resident voter and can vote in both your home community — where you usually live and plan to return — and the city where you live while at school.
If you are a student living in Kingston and can't vote in person, you can ask someone else to vote on your behalf as your proxy.
What do I bring?
Bring your Voter Card and one document showing your name and current address. It does not have to be photo ID — a utility bill, a bank statement, a lease, or a government cheque stub all work, and the City's accepted list runs to more than thirty documents.
If you have no identification with your current address, you can swear a declaration of identity at the voting location.
